The Toy and Action Figure Museum

I am currently on a ten day, seven state road trip.

While in Oklahoma, I decided to stop at The Toy and Action Figure Museum in Paul Valley. The museum, the self-proclaimed world’s only museum dedicated to the art of action figure production, is a geek’s dream come true. Containing thousands of toys, action figures, dolls and other related superhero merchandise, the museum could have kept my interest for hours.

Every where I looked was an assault on the eyes — I was overwhelmed with the museum’s ability to cram so many toys in one small building. For the half hour I was in the museum, I ran throughout the museum taking pictures of all the toys I used to have as a kid. I was like the proverbial kid in the candy store.

The main thing I took away from the trip to the museum was the fact that my parents bought me a butt-load of toys when I was a kid. Everywhere I looked there were toys I remembered owning. From Ninja Turtles to Spider-Men, the museum had a bunch of toys from my past — all of which I either gave away or sold a long time ago.

If you are ever in the Paul Valley area, I highly recommend checking out the museum. Their displays are very well put together and designed. The admission price is very fair and their is plenty to check out — including a room dedicated to Batman (the sign of any truly good museum).
